Fremont Family Apartments

Fremont Family Apartments is a new construction supportive housing community in Fremont’s Northgate neighborhood, developed to provide 54 permanent homes for families transitioning out of homelessness. The project includes a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments plus a manager’s unit, designed to offer long-term stability and access to on-site support services.
Work included:
- Ground-up construction of a multi-story residential building with modern, durable unit finishes
 - Community amenities: Community room, property management and social services offices, laundry room, outdoor areas
 - Infrastructure and systems: Full mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire/life-safety systems
 - Sustainability features: EV charging stations, energy-efficient systems, long-lasting exterior materials
 - Site work and landscaping: Accessible paths, gathering spaces, full site utility connections

D+H led precise site coordination and utility planning to deliver a new building within an active suburban neighborhood. Strategic sequencing of infrastructure, systems installation, and site improvements maintained safety and efficiency while avoiding delays. The team integrated on-site services and community spaces, while meeting sustainability goals like EV readiness and durable materials, through close collaboration with design teams, subcontractors, and Abode Services to create a long-lasting, low-maintenance, resident-focused environment.
